A place for people who want to be heard, to be heard. A place to voice your ideas and expectations. A place to give shape to your dreams. A place to share.

Through this blog, let the alumni of our college mingle. Through this, let us listen to the thoughts of those people whom we may not have had a chance to hang out with.

Considering the lofty aspirations set in the welcome section, this is a small beginning, but as some wise guy once said, something is better than nothing. Will we meet those expectations? Will we become all that we were meant to be? Will we shine through or will we disappear in the dusk? Only time will tell (If sheer will power counts, we have enough of it in the hearts of the people who started this association, to sail through the gates of success).

For now, lets be happy for this one small step. And let the blogging begin....

Anna University-Trichy (AUT, BIT, SET) was started with four departments as four wheels (Bio Technology,Information Technology, Petro Chemical Technology Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology.) of a car in 1999.AUT was launched by Bharathidasan University at the Khajamalai campus in Trichy. The procession of this car has begun after winning a case against Anna University, Chennai (as it was argued that technical cars should only be run by Anna University Chennai). Following this success, AUT got a new campus from our mother, Bharathidasan University (around 500 acres of land on the Trichy-Pudukkotai national highway and approximately 17 kms from Trichy).

Interestingly, ever since AUT born, AUT have been called by different names during different periods of time (like Bharathidasan Institute of engineering and technology (BIET), School of engineering and technology (SET), Bharathidasan Institute of Technology (BIT)). In 2004-05, new wheels like Automobile Technology were added to this car. The next year due to AUT great performance!!!!!! AUT was allowed run without the help of driver (that is AUT got the autonomous status along with lots of new additives like M.pharm, M.Tech).

Subsequently in the next year it (SET / BIT) gained a status of university as Anna University-Trichy (step mother). As it has become a big vehicle now, lots and lots of wheels are being added to pull all the technical colleges of southern Tamil Nadu. Can anyone say what the final destination of this vehicle is???? This is our great introduction!!!!!

We the Alumni who travelled in this vehicle for four years are now in a better position. This site is to build contact with each other to make a greater India.

As our motto is THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR HARD WORK. We are pertained to do it by being united.
